Paz Campos Trigo is more popularly known as Paz Vega. Paz Vega was born in Seville, Andalusia, Spain on January 2, 1976.
Currently, Paz Vega is a well-known Spanish actress who has conquered Hollywood. Her global popularity came when she was offered a role in “Spanglish” with Tea Leoni and Adam Sandler. But aside from being a bullfighter’s daughter and a famous actress, Paz Vega is now a wife and a mother.

Destined to be famous, Paz Vega grew up in Triana district – well-known for artists, poets, folkloric singers, and bullfighters. In fact, her sister is a singer and a flamenco dancer while her father was a bullfighter.
Paz wanted to be an athlete or politician when she was young. However, she went to theatre at age 15, saw the play called “La Casa de Bernarda Alba,” and from then on decided to become an actress instead.
Now that she’s living in California, she frequently misses her hometown. In her interview with CNN, she said “I miss my neighborhood, my family, and my friends. Seville’s lifestyle is very relaxed.”
Paz also shared that she often saw her father in the ring as a bullfighter since she was six years old. “It was very tense and emotional because bullfighters sometimes die. I felt that my father is a hero because everybody watched and clapped for him. Now he’s retired but we still go – it’s my culture and tradition.”

Although Paz Vega studied journalism for 2 years, her real dream is to become an actress. In 1995, she had the opportunity to be casted in “Menudo es mi Padre,” a TV-series in Madrid. Then, she landed another part in “Mas que Amigos.”
In 1998, she appeared many times in “Compañeros.” Her first film came in 1999 when she got a role in “Zapping.” She was also included in “7 Vidas” television sitcom.
The acting talent of Paz was truly noticed when she played the lead role in the 2001 film “Lucia y el Sexo.” In fact, she was awarded by Goya (Spanish version of Oscars) as “Best New Actress” that same year.
Other successful films include “Spanglish” (2005), “10 Items or Less” (2006) and “Teresa, Death and Life” (2007). Her most recent projects include “The Human Contract” (2008) and “The Spirit” (2009).

Paz is a wife to Orson Salazar, a mother to a 20-month old son, and an expectant mom to a second child. Paz Vega interviewed with with People.com on January 2009, she said that she loves parenting her son and she can’t wait to bear more kids.
This 33-year-old further revealed “Women are very fortunate to experience motherhood. So I’m very eager to repeat it.”
The family moved to Los Angeles last year. Although Paz Vega misses her homeland, she said that California is a good place to raise her son. She admits taking a piece of Spain with her. “I’ve brought Spain’s traditions like spending every afternoon with my son and husband, as well as enjoying little things – cooking ‘croquetas’ and eating ‘jamon’.”
